Peanut Oil In Granola Bars What Would You Think If Your Child's Daycare Wanted To Outlaw Peanut Butter?

What would you think if your child's daycare wanted to outlaw peanut butter? - peanut oil in granola bars

Our center is planning, "the mother of eliminating products such as peanut butter, products with nut oils, and all items such as granola bars, candy with peanuts in them, or peanut butter biscuits. Already eliminated from snacks and meals, the staff, the children , but the board considered a policy that forbids parents to send these items in the meals your child. I think it crosses the line of responsibility. I think it is the responsibility of the institution to take "precautions" reasonable steps to protect our children from developing allergies to serve not only to avoid potentially dangerous food and cross contamination. But I think that exceeds the limit, if the center told families that serve as their own children. What do you think?

I feel the schools and kindergartens are really here on the borders. Sorry for children with allergies, but I think if my child wants peanut butter, eat thats right. If the rights of a group (children with allergies) Trump the rights of another (without children) I know a woman who was asked not to eat peanut products while your child at home, because if it was a little boy on the school sent .. that the oil is likely to have it!

These children need to learn that eating in the real world, people peanuts. You can answer, her whole life. You need to learn responsibility for themselves.

I have several children with allergies. My children knew from the start, what to avoid. Children must learn what is good to eat and can not. If the child has the habit, parents need to sit with the child while eating food that nothing is shared safely. Most parents do not sit with your child from allergic children, but they expect that to change everyone. How is that fair? If this is not a responsible parent. Today, who is sorely lacking.

I totally agree with your indignation, but to play Devil's Advocate, I think I can also understand his reasoning. Children often share food and exchange with other children who might accidentally to an allergic reaction. I really think that the odds are in favor of very small, but with the possibility to engage in costly litigation, which obviously is not a coincidence that the Center is prepared to accept stuck. I can tell you if someone tries, my son, 4-year-peanut-butter sandwich, which would require major adjustment.

Do you see for the many children who are allergic to these questions, some children have severe reactions associated with peanuts. Despite a large team can be avoided if a child peanut oil has a hand and touched the children who are allergic. My sister works in a kindergarten and have never allowed a peanut product type through its doors. This means that all children safe.

I think this idea is ridiculious. Then you say how you feel, and (politely) try convinec their elsewise. Perhaps a meeting or something.

Or you can simply deal with it, or any other day care

I work in an establishment where there is a "place of peanuts." Allergies to peanuts are the number 1 of allergies in children. We had a child because he broke a handful hit the door, by a father who was taken care of for peanuts. The center is looking for the best interest of the whole school. If your child is allergic and has exploded in the center, sure to be labeled "I think most schools are peanuts. If this bothers you, searching in a center where meals are to try. It is a controlled situation so that the parents do to ensure this happens. If you want a replacement, try sunflower butter.

Good! many of them. do not always know whether allegeric are seriously nuts and allergies. You want another child died accidentally in contact with the peanut oil from the hands of somebody coming? Good idea!

There are children who are allergic to peanut butter and can die if they eat it. If your child has peanut butter in their daily care and tell your friend that is allergic, there is no responsibility for the nursery where the child has a severe reaction.

You can serve food to your child what you want, when you get home. But while they are under the custody of a kindergarten, the kindergarten must take precautions to protect their liability and are entitled to not tell you to send your child with food, even total potentially damage something that seems as harmless, peanut butter, because you pay for their services and who agree with the policy.

If you disagree with its policies, then you are a center that allows you to send your child should be with peanut butter. But it is a trend that should continue because there are problems in kindergarten and allergies to certain types of food one of them.

American children should sit in the possession of. Parents of allergic children should say, take care of the child. It is ridiculous that all children have to suffer because a handful of parents are disrespectful.

I agree with you in a way that I think are parents, we know what our children have and what they can look. But who can say, "Sally": Make your own PB & J with "Mikey" who is allergic to nuts ..... I think the center is the responsibility of feeding children (that's what they get paid I do not) know why the parents send the food to children when the parents pay for childcare for children attending our children and give them to eat.
